"Dancing Shlomo Productions" is my imaginary production company. I've used this clip as a bumper on several DVDs I've done for friends and family, including rehearsal-dinner videos for both my brother's and brother-in-law's weddings. Seems to make folks happy.
Tuned into JACK-FM for the drive home post-turkey tonight, and the Thanksgiving programming was "one-hit wonders" all day. Heard them play "Bust A Move." Not fair to my man Young!
Marvin Young (Young MC) was 2 grades ahead of me at HCHS. I used to bug him while he DJed dances, asking himto play obscure ska love songs. Little did we know.
He's not the most famous Hunter alum of my time (Cynthia Nixon & Chris Collet), nor, probably, the most successful or most web-infamous. He is, however, the only one I hear on the radio.
